What’s the meaning behind the pineapple?
Pineapples symbolize hospitality, which is what the “H” in HERO stands for! Centuries ago, when pineapples were first imported into the US from the Caribbean, sea captains would place pineapples outside their homes to signal their safe return and to welcome visitors. Pineapples were considered rare and exotic, and it was a significant gesture for hosts to provide them to their guests.
What does HERO stand for?
For fun, let’s go through the acronym backwards!
Organization, which is the “heartbeat” of HERO because it’s HOW we do everything we do!
Reliability, which reflects one of HERO’s greatest accomplishments yet - that is, earning the trust of our clients and local vendors.
Engagement in Community, which is one of HERO’s top priorities as a genuine local of the Monterey Peninsula. We are constantly growing our network of vendors to help provide you with a truly authentic experience.
Hospitality, which is the “soul” of HERO because it’s the WHY of what we do! For us, hospitality isn’t just an act of service – it’s a part of who we are!
Why do I need HERO to organize my event?
HERO will help you save time and reduce stress throughout the planning process and during your event by supporting you with all event-related efforts. This includes areas such as logistics, marketing, communications, administration and revenue generation. We can provide full planning support, or simply fill-in the blanks. We solve problems before they exist and will link together the various components of your event.
How do you charge for services?
Pricing is based on the size of your event, including the estimated guest count and the components involved, along with the scope of services required from HERO. Our services are tailored to fit your needs, so Schedule Your Consultation and we’ll provide you with a customized pricing proposal.
What will we discuss during our initial consultation?
In addition to answering any questions you have, some of the things we’ll discuss during our initial consultation include:
Your vision / objectives for the event
Date, time and location
Estimated number of guests
Where you currently are in the planning process (what’s confirmed, pending, and still needs to be done)

What’s it like to work with HERO?
HERO works collaboratively and transparently with our clients and local vendors, and produces efficient and effective results. We anticipate your needs and provide professional recommendations tailored to your event. We are experienced in all areas of event management, which makes us a great liaison for everyone involved – including you, the vendors and your guests.
Can HERO help with events outside of the Monterey Peninsula?
While we are always open to discussing ideas, our primary focus and priority are events that take place on the Monterey Peninsula. Our local insights and connections are a part of what makes HERO’s services so valuable. We’re here, “on location” to help with anything that can’t be done over the phone or through email.
How does your photography partnership work?
We are happy to have an exclusive partnership with Ibex Images, a professional photographer based on the Monterey Peninsula. Ibex is vastly experienced in all areas of photography and works with an array of different clients, including corporate events and weddings. HERO will help create your event and Ibex will help capture all the moments.
